Pentecost

This last Sunday was Pentecost in the Church Calendar. Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the founding of the church. The morning's sermon was on Genesis 11 where the languages of the world were confused at Babel and Acts 2 where the Holy Spirit restores the international language of the Gospel.

Our chamber choir sang a joyful anthem for the offertory.

Christ Church never lets a good excuse to have a party go to waste. We had a picnic in the church park following the service. What better way to celebrate the founding of The Church?

There was a ton of good food: Grilled Italian sausages, Fajitas, rice, beans, mocha cappuccino brownies.

Some fitting treats for the day were distributed.
