Over the last two Sundays Christ Church has been engaging in a forgotten art, Christmas Caroling. First, we gather together to practice our carols in parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Then we hit the street filled with joyfulness.
We caroled through the neighborhood where our church is located spreading Christmas cheer and hope as we reminded our neighbors, in the midst of hustle and bustle, that God has sent His Son into the world.
The kids participated in a substantial way as well adding their voices to the soprano section.
The evening ended with festive beverages and food at the pastor's house, who lives around the corner from the church.
It's Christmastime and Christ Church once again participated in The Giving Spirit, an mercy ministry to LA's homeless.
The project encompassed packing survival kits for the homeless which included blankets, umbrellas, ponchos, food and personal hygiene items which were put inside of large gym bags.
The kids wrote personal messages to the recipients of the kits.
