This morning Saint Andrew's gathered for worship with a great sense of expectation. The pastor always greets the worshipers at the door as they arrive.
The worshipers enter the sacred space we have attempted to create and prepare to meet with our gracious Lord.
Today Saint Andrew's had the privilege of participating in a double baptism. Baptism is a big deal to us as we view it as a sacred rite of entry into the church. There was an infant...
...and an adult. Both of them were today joined to the church by God's gracious provision.
The sermon was on the subject of, of course, baptism. Baptism is a sign and seal of, among other things, regeneration.
Our service always culminates with a weekly and joyous celebration of the Eucharist.
After the service we stepped out-of-doors (hey, its winter in LA) to partake of a celebration feast. Beautiful weather, delicious food, and great fellowship.
