We are now in the midst of the church season of Lent. Lent is the season that is set apart for meditation upon the necessity of the Cross. Sundays are "in" Lent and not "of" Lent so they are still observed as feast days but this season still has its unique texture.

Do you all do anything differently in worship during lent? At our church, our pastor doesn't sing the sursum corda and we don't respond hallelujah at the end of service. We also have communal soup suppers Wednesday evenings.

Hi Eric,
The readings, prayers, choral anthems and some of the hymns change to reflect the season, however, we want the basic structure of the Lord's Day to remain constant since Sundays are "in" Lent but not "of" Lent.
