Easter 2010

It was three since our Good Friday Tenebrae (darkness/shadows) service as Christ Church gathered in joyful anticipation of our Easter Service. Easter is the high holy day of the Church Calendar and the most joyous of feast days. Jesus Christ is risen!

The crowd was loud and excited.

At the offering, Pastor Richardson led our excellent chamber choir in a rousing and joyful anthem.

The high point of the service, especially on Easter, is the Eucharist. Pastor Craw popped the cork on a bottle of champagne and said loudly, "He is risen!" The congregation responded with, "He is risen indeed!"

The refreshments that followed the service included traditional hot cross buns.
