It's been some weeks since Christ Church participated in "The Giving Spirit." Since then, members of the church have followed-up with some of the local homeless folk who received the survival kits that we distributed. This population, which often stays hidden in Santa Clarita, has begun to open up to us.
As we work with the homeless it builds bonds of trust. We pray that we can be of service to these folk - to see them trust in Christ, to come to church, and to re-join the workforce.
On Monday evening we hosted Jamie Soles and family for their first concert in Southern California. Here's some pics from the event.
Following our Pentecost worship service this past Sunday, we had a picnic. The weather was magnificent. Here's some pics of Christ Church where every Sunday is a party and every Lord's Day is a feast!
This morning, Christ Church participated in "The Giving Spirit", a homeless outreach based out of Brentwood Presbyterian Church.
One group moved along having their bags filled with survival items: non-perishable food, water, personal care items, and even baby-care items, while the other group manned the tables filling the bags. There are more homeless families with children appearing on our streets in these tough economic times.
